Why you should get College Graduation Photos- USU
After 4 years, hundreds of college credits and countless hours of studying you are graduating! This IS a big deal! Photos are the perfect way to capture this time in your life.
I live in a college town. It’s actually my college town and I never left! So I spend a lot of time in the spring taking college graduation photos. I usually take them on the Utah State University campus around what we call the quad. The 100 year old buildings around the quad and the beautiful hill behind Old Main are my favorite.
The best time to get these taken is the beginning to the middle of April. The farther you get into April the busier campus will be. If you go the week of graduation you may have to wait 30 minutes to stand on the Aggie “A” for photos. I’m not exaggerating. Even if you can’t take your photos until it’s busy I know of a lot of places where we can get beautiful photos for you. Without hundreds of people in the background!
Props are so important for graduation photos! Especially your cap and gown. I love when graduates decorate their caps! I honestly didn’t. I’m not sure if that was a think get or not.
One thing I always try to do is get my graduates some updated headshots. Going into the working world many people need a new headshot. Even if it’s just for your social media pages! You never know when you need a professional headshot of yourself.
This beautiful girl is Kenzie. She was graduating in ELED which was also my major! I love talking to ELED majors. We always have so much in common. I was laughing going through her gallery to pick photos for this blog because I went overboard on her session. I took SO MANY photos for her! I told me my kids I must have been having too much fun taking her pictures. My 11 year old did not understand how it would be fun taking pictures.
There are very few physical things you can take from your college graduation. To have photos to capture such a huge step in your life is priceless! Sessions are 30 minutes and come with at least 50 photos. I deliver them within a week of your session in an online gallery for you to download and print as you like.
