It’s pretty rare that I get to photograph a proposal but with this couple I did! His mom is my good friend and his little brother is my sons best friend. They knew he wanted to propose soon so she called me up to see if I could be there. I fit it in between other sessions I had and it was so fun! It was May 5th- Cinco de Mayo. They blindfolded Kenzi and she was supposed to hit the piñata. But there was Trevyn was there on one knee. It was so cute! They were going to put the ring in the piñata but we were worried we would loose the ring in the grass or something! Can you imagine loosing your ring before you even got to see it?
Kenzie and Trevyn were made for each other. They are so adorable together. So happy! They don’t hide their love for each other. I love how easy it was to get Kenzie to smile.
I wanted to take them somewhere perfect for their engagement photos. I knew a place just as the base of the mountains that I loved! And I’m so sad to say this but since then they have closed this spot for photographers! It was being overrun by them and not all of them were respectful. This is honestly why I don’t give out my favorite locations anymore. I used to all the time. Ugh I loved this spot! You can see why I’m sure.
I had a idea on my way up to the location that I wasn’t sure was going to work. There is a spot a little farther down that was so pretty with yellow wild flowers. I talked them into trying it and it ended up being so perfect! I loved how different the mountains looked from that direction.
