I have been looking forward to this session ALL YEAR. There is no one I would rather take pictures of then my kids. My kids are the hardest clients to take pictures of but they are my favorite. This little guy is my third son Stockton. He is a ball of energy! He is overflowing with personality. He has been that way his whole life. I remember telling his kindergarten teacher years ago how jealous I was that she gets to spend so much of the day with him. I still am jealous of his teachers and wish I could spend all day with my and my other kids.  Stockton is such a light in my life.

I found a quick evening to take him up to the Logan Temple to get pictures to celebrate his upcoming baptism. I was just there a few days before taking other pictures and kind of used that as my guide on what time would be best. Well I didn’t account for it being cloudy and so it got dark so much faster! I didn’t get many of the shots I wanted to take. After doing so many other kids baptism pictures It makes me sad I didn’t give him the kind of session I wanted to. The good news is he doesn’t care and he had fun.

Do you know what my favorite part of the evening was? How much he loved spending one on one time with me. He is my middle child and kind of gets lost in the shuffle. He is so independent that it doesn’t really bother him much. After we took his pictures we went to get something to eat and a swig. It was so fun and memorable for me.

In true Stockton fashion when we started his pictures we realized his pants were on backward. They are just elastic at the top and he couldn’t put his hands in his pockets because they were backwards. That is so him. While we were walking around he was looking for bugs to collect. He is so fascinated with bugs! He always has a collection of bugs in cages around. Hopefully outside my house because I don’t really care for them in my house.

He had me laughing the whole time. It’s one of my favorite sessions I’ve done and not because of how the pictures turned out. I’m so grateful to be this little guys mom.

I’m at the Logan Temple all the time. I didn’t realize that some of my kids doesn’t remember going up close to the temple. Stockton ran up to the temple to touch it. He was so excited to touch the temple. I hurried and got a photo of it. And told myself that I need to bring my kids up to the temple soon so they could all do that.
