Summer Logan Temple Wedding
After doing this couples engagements and formals I was really looking forward to this weeding. I just loved this couple and knew it was going to be amazing. The weather forecast said rain and I was really worried about it. It’s actually super rare to have rain in August around here. We are usually pretty dry and hot. I kept thinking if we can just get though the family pictures we will be good. And the wind didn’t start to pick up until we were finishing a few wedding formals around the temple.
As much as I love spring at the Logan temple I think August and September have the best flowers. Honestly. Spring last like 2 weeks and its so hard to guess which weeks they will be. But August and September? They always have beautiful huge flower beds.
I noticed something that I don’t always see at weddings. Both sets of parents seemed to get along really well. And I loved that! I made a mental note that I need to get to know my kids in laws. I think it makes life easier for everyone involved to know them.
Purple isn’t a color I see often at a wedding. I’m not sure why because I am a big fan! They also did something else I love- having all the bridesmaids get dresses different shades of the same color. So they aren’t all totally matching. It looked so good! And having the girls all holding a little bit of flowers is so pretty- I love it all.
I almost forgot my favorite story of the day! The boys wanted to through Bryndon in the air- which isn’t a abnormal request. Honestly when you get a group of guys together they always have ideas for crazy photos. From the time they are 16 and up they always come up with something.
Bryndon had played baseball in Virginia and some of his teammates were his groomsmen. As they were throwing him up one of the guys pants ripped. And when I say ripped not just a tiny tare but from front to back. It was all gone. I have a photo of them laughing about it but the sake of the poor guy who it happened to I left it out so you can’t tell who it was.
We honestly heard the rip. It was so loud. And we all laughed and laughed about it. The poor guy was a good sport and decided to just wear regular pants to the reception. Good call.
