There is always a first for everything and sadly for this couple I had one of my firsts. Let me explain-

I had their formals on my calendar for weeks. I got all of my stuff ready and while I was talking to my mom on the phone it hit me that the temple may be closed for cleaning- where they wanted their formals taken. That is when I started to panic. Maybe I was wrong? Maybe one of the gates would be open? In all of my years as a photographer I’ve never had the temple closed in March! It’s usually July and December.

When I pulled up I saw zero cars in the parking lot and my heart SUNK. I was sick! Honestly I feel like it’s my responsibility to make sure these things don’t happen. But lucky for me I had one huge thing going for me. This was seriously the BEST couple. So kind.

Jaden was already there and we started talking about what we could do. I mean Renee was already ready and on her way. So we decided to do what photos we could outside the gates and head to a nature park close by to finish. When I came back the next week (don’t worry they were not  charged for two sessions!) and finish the rest. What a mess. But Renees friends who did her hair were willing to come back. Bless them. And her flowers were wood! So we made it work.

I don’t deserve these two. They are so good to me.

Wedding Day!

They got married on the most beautiful spring day! Oh man it was just perfect! These two are so perfect for each other. They are so in love and it shows. They met playing ultimate frisbee in high school and now they both finished missions and here they are.

They left me the absolute sweetest review and I just have to share it.

“Working with Heather was fantastic. For our wedding we wanted someone that would capture who we were. And Heather did exactly that. She was so awesome to work with when things didn’t go quite right, she made it right with us and was just an amazing person to work with. We loved how she was able to capture picture that were natural, very little editing which we are very fond of. But most of all Heather started out our photographer but by the end of our wedding she was a great friend! We highly highly recommend Heather Palmer photography for weddings or any other photography needs! It was a pleasure and we are excited to use her again in the future!”
