I’m a firm believer that a location should the vibe a senior wants. For boys quite often having a downtown vibe really fits for them more then like a field of wild flowers for example. Even though our Downtown Logan has changed a lot in the last few years (and some of my brick walls are covered in murals) it still is awesome for senior pictures.
Hayden moved across the street from us when he was a little boy. For a few years he and my boys would spend a lot of time together. I was so thrilled when his mom asked me to take his senior pictures. He is such a kind person and I love being around Hayden and his mom Cindy.
For some reason the high schools around here don’t get their cap and gown until a day or two before graduation. Honesty as a parent of a kid who graduated from high school it kind of annoying because we have to pay for them months and months before. I got his tassel months before graduation. But if you are like Hayden and have a brother who has one you can use it for photos! I’m totally using my sons for my other kids. It worked out really well for these photos.
One thing I really liked that Hayden did was bring a suit and tie. It looked so good for him to be really dressed up. Having a lot of different things to wear really add to your senior photos. Hayden liked wearing a green beanie and so we made sure to use that in his photos. He also worked at a place where we were taking photos so we took some around there. Honestly most people only print and use a few photos of the huge gallery I give my clients. But I still want their gallery to somewhat tell a story. I want to show their persoanlity and showcase what they are like when they got their photos taken.
