PHD Graduation From Utah State with custom Cap and Gown

I love sewing. I love it so much. I’m not good at it but I love it. I used to do all sorts of needlepoint, cross stitch, embroidery etc. Mind you I was never great at it. But I still enjoy it all when I have time.

So when this beautiful lady showed up with her graduation grown looking like this?!? I was FLOORED. It was the most amazing thing I’ve seen. I have never seen a graduation gown so beautiful an unique.

But I’m getting ahead of myself.

This beautiful mother of two graduated from Utah State with her PHD. PHD! I can’t even imagine working going to school and still being an awesome mom at the same time. But she did it all and it was time for her to graduate.

Of course she wanted to celebrate her hard work by having some photos taken. She had family in town from all over the world her help her celebrate her amazing accomplishment. Her mom had come over from the Middle East to spend a few weeks/months with them. Speaking of her mom-

Ok now back to her gown. Her mom sewed this. The whole thing. And it took her months. I could have looked at it all day. The love and effort put into it. I wish I was that talented! Notice it’s perfect. You can’t find a single flaw. It’s art.

Congrats to Rana on graduating! It was seriously such a pleasure to meet you.
