Logan Utah Senior Photography in the Winter
This session is a big reason why I’m blogging today. I know blogs aren’t what they used to be but to keep google happy here we are. I’m also happy to show off my amazing clients!
Let’s talk about this guy. Fletcher is from Mississippi. He came to Utah to visit his sister who was working at Utah State and wanted to do his senior photos here. could have chosen his home state, a trip they had planned to the east coast at the ocean but he choose the Utah mountains.
I got a message from his mom seeing if I could help them out. Again thank you google! Knowing he was flying across the county for Utah mountains I knew we needed to have epic mountains! No pressure Heather Palmer.
The winter of 2023 was the worst winter for snow I have ever lived through. Even at this point in the winter when we took this (February) we had to stay on snowmobile tracks to not sink too far. But a month later forget it. The snow got so deep in the parking lot I wouldn’t have been able to get my car in there. Even a truck couldn’t have done it. And they would plow it a lot! It was crazy.
I had a crazy idea. On the way home I had them stop at spot on the side of the highway. I wanted to try something and I had never taken pictures at this nature spring. Because it was so cold most of the water had turned into ice which made it look really cool. Honestly they were some of my fav photos from his session.
One of the best parts of this session? Fletchers adorable sister (who was there for his session) asked me to take some portraits of her the next summer up in the mountains before she moved back east. So I could go hang out with her again! The best. I love my job.
