When I think back to the people that mean the most to me growing up most of them are my cousins. I mean it helps that I have 82 first cousins so I have a lot to choose from! It also helps that my parents are both middle children of large families so I have a ton of cousins right around my age. And this pretty mom? She is one of my favorites. I just love her to pieces.
In the fall 0f 2014 I was just starting to get into photography. I wasn’t even a official business yet and only tried a few free sessions for family members. At the time my Aunt Martha (Julie’s mom) was fighting through cancer. I really felt like she needed a family picture taken. There was nothing more important to her on this earth besides the church than her family. Especially her grandkids! She by some miracle felt well enough to go through with the photos. Which was such a blessing because the next summer she was on hospice. These were the last family pictures Julie had.
I knew that this would be a little bit hard for Julie but I really pushed her to get them done because she would be so happy she had them! She was nervous how her kids would do but they were perfect! All angels with their red hair! I love all of her kids but her middle little boy has a special place in my heart. I’m not even 100% sure what it is about him but I just love her personality. He wanted to take some pictures too so I gave him my phone and he took a few photos of me “behind the scenes” haha. I love that kid.
Her youngest baby is a miracle. When Julie was pregnant with her the baby wasn’t given much of a chance to live. She defied all odds and is a healthy little girl today. She has no lasting effects of the issues she had at birth. SHE IS ADORABLE. Her little chubby cheeks are to die for.
Julie I’m glad I pushed you to get these done! I love how they turned out! I love this family with all of my heart.
