If you know Jenny you love her. It’s that simple. Because how could you not? She is one of the sweetest girls on the planet! She was already talking about going on a mission when we did her senior pictures the spring before. Her mom is one of my very favorite people. I’m so lucky to call her my friend.

I was so excited when I heard where she was called- Richmond Virginia! What a great mission! Her mom and I had a good laugh though. When she called me to schedule Jenny’s photos she told me that they were going to have to do something about the flag. I was confused- what could be wrong with the flag? Well it has a half topless lady on it. Standing on a man. I’m not kidding! Look it up. Jenny’s mom Emily took a sharpie to it to make her more modest. Haha.

Here is what the flag means though- The women is a roman goddess (Virtue) and she is holding a spear. Virtue is standing on the tyrant she defeated. She symbolizes Virginia and the tyrant is Great Britain. The flag is pictured below. There is your little history lesson for the day.

Jenny is currently serving her mission and is doing so well! Just like I knew she would.
