There are many ways couples meet. I’m finding more and more are meeting online. Of course some meet in college, some get set up by a friend. But more and more here in Northern Utah I’m finding couples that met while serving a mission for The Church Of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. In fact I took wedding photos for a couple that met and served in the same mission as these too- Kentucky Louisville. Just 4 years before them! They knew each other from the mission and connected after they were both home. And the rest is history.
The first thing I noticed with these two was how much fun they were to be around. We literally laughed the whole time. Brinklee is a kick! She was pulling silly faces and cracking us up. I love people like that. And Jayden is so smitten with her. This was the type of engagement session that I loved- because I knew I got to do a few more sessions with them too!
I never require types of clothing for photos. I always leave this up to my clients. But if possible I do like it when couples bring two outfits. One more casual and one more dressy. It just allows for a different looking photos without a lot of different backdrops. You end up with a lot more variety! I will say that in the winter we usually they don’t just because it’s so cold to change!
When choosing colors pick a color that compliments your backdrop and your skin tone. I love Brinklee’s red dress on her! And Jaydens tan shirt really compliments her dress. Her green shirt with his black checkered shirt look really good with the cedar trees. Here are some more tips for what to wear for your photos- TIPS.
