Engagement Photographer Cache Valley
I’ve been really lucky to have been able to photograph a lot of siblings weddings. I met Hailey the day she was set about as a missionary. Ally (Haileys sister) was getting her formal wedding photos taken and she came to the first part to see it. Covid had messed everything up for Haileys mission and Ally’s wedding. So when Hailey finally got her date to enter the mission field it was right before Ally’s wedding! Isn’t that sad? And Ally had to postpone her wedding because of covid already. It was nuts.
Last winter I was taking their family pictures. Hailey was dating Jay but they weren’t engaged. Everyone was teasing her that she should have brought him. I ran into her while she was working at Al’s sporting goods a few months later and she said she was going to be getting married soon and would give me a call. I was so excited! I just love this family and Hailey was so fun!
Then when they called me and told me their wedding date my heart dropped. It was over the weekend I had a family trip already planned and booked. The one weekend! I told her I would love to do her engagement photos and formals if she wanted me to but I would understand if they hired someone to do all of them.
Then she still booked me.
She told me she really wanted me to do as much as I could and they would hire someone else to do their wedding day. They ended up hiring the photographer I recommended to them that I knew would work well with them. I am still so touched that they trusted me enough to deal with hiring two different photographers.
Hailey and Jay have known each other for a long time. They have spent years being good friends. But after Haileys mission things got serious and they decided to get married. Jay works at one of the most beloved local restaurants in the valley- Angies. I told him how much I loved their scones! Then he told me a secret menu idem I should try. I told Jay he was my new favorite.
Watching these two together makes me so happy. They laugh so much together! And being around people like that is such a joy. I could have spent the whole day with them and never got board. I’m so grateful for good people that this job helps me to get to know.
