Cache Valley Wedding Photographers- Mt. Naomi Farms –

Out of everyone that has had their plans effected by this pandemic the couples that were supposed to get married have had it one of the worst. I can’t even imagine spending months planning the perfect day only to find out you can’t do anything you have planned. Where many wedding photographers in other areas have had their clients all cancel until fall or next year, every one of my couples have moved forward with their weddings. What has resulted was many elopement type ceremonies this spring. And honestly I absolutely love them!

I decided at the beginning of this it was my job as their photographer to make things as easy as possible for my clients. If I could do anything in my power to be flexible and available for them I would do it. I’m really grateful I did because I’ve met some of the most amazing couples this spring!

This couple will go down as one of my favorites ever. I just loved getting to know them and I’m sort of secretly glad they still need to be sealed so I have a excuse to see them again.

It was about 2 1/2 weeks ago I got a message from this brides mom. The couple decided to move up their wedding up so that his little brother- who was home from his mission waiting to be reassigned- could attend.  They were planning on getting married in the temple but due to the fact that they are still not able to be sealed there they decided to go forward with a wedding.  The problem was they hadn’t taken their engagement pictures yet so they would need them done ASAP. So we honestly took them the next day- right before the other session I had already scheduled for someone else. I hurried and edited a bunch and turned them around that night. It was nuts but it worked!

It’s amazing how things came together for Allie and Kelton. She was able to find a dress last minute at Latter Day Bride. She didn’t have time to have it altered so thankfully she found one that fit perfectly! Her makeup lady had to bail out last minute but I messaged my friend Jessica Nelson Makeup Artistry and she was free! And it is memorial day weekend! Miracle. They weather started to look bad for their wedding day so they were able to book Mt. Naomi Farms which previously was booked but with Covid had a cancelation. It was the perfect place!

The night before their wedding we headed up Logan Canyon for their first look and formals. It was supposed to be horrible weather so we moved up the time of their session and even had blue sky up the canyon! The valley had much worse weather I’m glad we went where we did.

Poor Kelton was so nervous for their first look! I thought it was extremely sweet how excited/nervous he was to see her. Honestly it got all of the jitters out and he was totally calm for their wedding. We ended their formals at the Logan temple and, of course, the gates were still locked! Which I guess is rather fitting since they want to get married there and are not allowed due to the pandemic.

Due to the current conditions they did not have a lot of people at their wedding. Right now we are allowed to have up to 50 people and with the family that was there and a few of us working I bet there was around 30 people total. Their bishop married them in a quick ceremony and right after they started their dinner. Kelton extended family owns Juniper Take out and they catered it. Their rolls and honey butter are to die for! We had a few quick family pictures and a few formals pictures just to capture the day and that was it. Simple and yet so beautiful. They also did something I have never seen at a wedding before. After they cut their cake they started slicing pieces for all of the guests.

This might sound funny but one of my favorite parts of their wedding was when Allie’s little sister came up to give her a hug before she left. When she realized Allie wasn’t going to be coming home that night and was leaving she burst into tears. Allie just hugged her and promised to come and see her very soon and that she could come over to their new place for sleep overs.
