Taya is the best friend of one of my brides last year. A referral from past clients is such a high compliment! I hit a gold mine with this couple as well. As soon as I met her I could totally see why she was friends with Sadie. (My past bride.) They are both the sweetest girls!
I have photographed a lot of couples. This couple is one of the easiest I’ve ever photographed though. The reason? They are so incredibly giggly and happy. They are so natural together and almost seem to not notice I’m even around. Half of the time I’m just watching them and photographing them as they interact with each other. Sometimes it’s hard for people to relax enough to act this way but not these two. Truth be told I’m for sure one of those people who needs a long time to relax while getting my pictures taken!
It was important to Jason and Taya that we did their photos by the Wellsville mountains. Not only is it close to where they got engaged but these two love to be in the mountains. They are always going on hikes and adventures together. I love that we were able to use a location that had meaning to them both.
With all of rain we have been having I was really worried their session was going to get rained out. It looked like it was going to be horrible weather! The problem was these two are both going to be gone for the summer until right before they get married so we didn’t have a huge window of time. Taya wrote back and said they were up for a adventure and willing to get a little wet so we went for it. Holy moly was that the right choice. Not only was the weather perfect our timing was perfect. A apple tree at the location was in full bloom! The mountain flowers were blooming as well and it made it so we had so many places to take beautiful pictures. I was in photographer heaven.
